Texas has no state general assistance program, no state paid family or medical leave program, and no state earned income tax credit. Texas is not running Summer EBT (SUN Bucks) in 2026. State pre-K enrollment is handled by local school districts and charter schools. Texas does not operate a general cash assistance program for all low-income adults.
